Lets say you had original content (viral videos)
Would you host them on your own site, or would you host them on youtube and embed them on your site so they are viewable both places? and then put a link to your site in the description of the video?
Or would you just host them on your own site and not put them up on youtube, to try and make people have to come to your site to view them?
or option 3, host them all on your site, but put 1 or 2 clips on youtube to try and drive some traffic to your site for people who want to see more?
also would you start off with dedicated hosting right away since you're hosting videos, or would you start off on shared and then move to dedicated once it got more popular?

really depends whats available on the page. if the page is dedicated to these videos, i'd put clips on youtube and link to the page.
I'd start with unlimited bw shared hosting but it depends how quick you expect your shit to blow up cause it usually takes a while to set up a dedi. You don't want your shared host to be dead while you're waiting to migrate.
I pushed 400 gigs in 5 days to a hostgator shared server before I started exceeding what they allocated me for processing. Then I lost some traffic waiting for a dedi to be set up elsewhere so keep that in mind.

That's a different kind of idea.. I'm aiming for return visitors and will be updating with new content frequently
Have a central site, obviously, but unique URLs will help visors remember where to find specific videos.
"Oh, where was that video of the dog stealing the baby?"
"DogStealsABaby.com you faggot"
"Oh, thanks! Also, rub your anus for me"
"Oh you like it when I do that?"
"Shut up you worthless whore I'm watching DogStealsABaby.com"

Use a hosting solution like vps.net.
They allow users to log in and add blocks to their VPS (i.e. more space/bandwidth) depending on when it's needed, so if you get a huge traffic surge you can allot more blocks, and then once it quiets back down, you can remove them so you're not paying for bw you don't need.

ITT woman giving advice on the adult industry, porn will never be the same.
Also I suggest you just watermark them with your site and upload them on porn video sites, and then embed because people will view from your site, and you'll get a ton of traffic from the video itself also fuck paying for bw when you can steal someone else's.

start off on shared and then move to dedicated once it got more popular
esp if content is too racy (pornographic, graphic violence... etc) for youtube
