Don't use one. Learn to computer and you'll never need one. Don't run files that you don't trust (reversing them is also an option) and don't use IE. It's that fucking simple.
AV: resources wasted.

"don't use one" is always a stupid elitist response for the simple fact that it benefits you no more than... well, using one! *chuckles*
but yeah if saving a some r3s0urc3z in the 0dx is worth the risk of not having that little extra security measure then i guess

Linux is very shitty for gaming. I have a linux laptop powered on right next to me at all times and I only use it to get sound in stickam chats cause I can't hear anything from them on my laptop with Windows 7.

linux isn't meant for gaming asshat
There is not good antivirus - they all suck.
NOD32 is the best tho.

yes i know this. ive gone the past year without an antivirus.
reason VVV

dont mind taking up sources. rather that then someone having a server.exe that just windows protecton cannot pick up if backdoored
and i guess NOD32 it is

i rock eset smart security 4
edit: which nod32 is the antivirus portion of eset smart security. It's the suite with the firewall/anti spam modules included along with nod32.
Double Edit: when I do reformats for peeps unless they have their own purchased anti-virus or preference i toss on AVG Free, and Ad-Aware for anti-spyware.

i say nod32 because it might as well be free, you risk nothing in having to get a cracked version or anything because you can download directly from eset and then head on over to http://www.nod325.com/ any day of the week and get a working username/password
true @ jrs one. k i was doing some reformats/virus removing and i threw on avg for a couple of computers cause last i remember it was good[i personally used mcfee/norton back then/// but when i used to compile server.exe i remember avg always usually being one that always caught it. that and another one]
[reason i asked about antivirus^]so i was jw cause i was thinkin i should get some protection on my comp.
hmm nod32 it is i just need antivirus...i can tell a phished site etc.. and plus i roll with nocrips/adcockplus for all that spyware/adware ish
. and that surf the inet without protection made me heh.
