Long story short, my brother is dead and I want to turn his facebook into a memorial for him. If anyone wants to help I'll pay upwards of $500 for his password if someone can social it or do whatever it takes.

If anyone is interested just reply here or send me a prviate message.

Yeah, no need to spend $500. You should easily be able to contact Facebook, and get it taken care of. RIP

You should probably try to get his email password. If it's a hotmail account, then all you have to do is guess his secret question. Then you can just put the 'i forgot my password' thing in on facebook and they should email you the pass.

Use this link to inform Facebook of the passing and they can "memorialize" his page - don't deactivate the account.

When an account is memorialized, we also set privacy so that only confirmed friends can see the profile or locate it in search. We try to protect the deceased's privacy by removing sensitive information such as contact information and status updates. Memorializing an account also prevents anyone from logging into it in the future, while still enabling friends and family to leave posts on the profile Wall in remembrance.

basicaly, only confirmed friends can see it, nobody can ever log into it again, but people can still post things on the wall.

Would probably be your best bet.

The memorial thing kind of sounds dumb.

If you hit me up at "achooist" on AIM I'll see what I can do for free.

I tired that his email pass used to be skrill1337 or something but not anymore.

I'd rather be in control of the account than convert it to a memorial on facebook's terms.

I'm gonna get in touch with you tomorrow, koin. You seem to have a good rep here and you've been around a while so I'm most inclined to trust you.

I'm just hella busy right now with the hospital and there's a lot of big decisions to make, so yeah tomorrow.

Thanks for the help everyone.

with the email password normally the asq's are pretty easy and i imagine if you prolly knew alot of his personal info it wouldnt be that big of a deal, also knowing a older password helps too

use password reset and fill in info or get on his computer and see if he is still logged in or even check the firefox/chrom/safari/whatever saved passwords thing on his computer.
