Droid users: Tips for not shitty pictures

I'm fucking sick of this bullshit. Am I screwed because it's an LOL PHONE CAMERA or is there something I can do to avoid this garbage? I took 3 pictures and this is the best one. I'm sure it's because my license plate reflected some light so the phone went THAT'S THE MODEL LOL but is there an app that lets me touch the part of the screen to focus on or some neat-o hax to avoid this?

I was probably 5' away. And zooming wouldn't have solved the problem because the point was to have them, with the car, in the shot.

i was gonna ninjaedit the above when i reread the problem.. zoom could have helped with the autofocus prob in cropping out the plate..

ive had also had luck tilting the droid slightly up and back to what you want as the main focus.

don't use the flash, the camera takes mad decent photos in direct sunlight but that's about it

i haven't got a single decent photo using the flash, the only thing it's good for is a flashlight - sunlight makes photos look like a normal camera took em, artificial lighting looks like a cell phone cam and flash looks like a fisher price camera

Yeah, camera phones are a perfect example of how MP != image quality.

yarp has an iPhone and it takes amazing pictures, idk what you're complaining about.

we took a few pictures this morning actually and they came out great, nice quality, and they were meant to capture a wide range and include three peoples full bodies and it worked.

no blurr, or any issues. so meh.
