let's say I have a URL parked on my host and I re-direct that URL to an affiliate link. could I rank that URL? in other words, say I re-direct dogcollars.com to kzg12sd_shittyaffiliatelink.com which takes you to the affiliates landing page. if I build links to dogcollars.com could I rank it or would G sniff that re-direct out and say GTF outta here?

yeah i think you could make or find a php script that detects "google" in user agent, if it sees "google" in the user agent then have it spit out say wordpress theme with contents etc, if it doesnt see "google" in user agent then redirects to your affiliate link
ive heard it doesnt last long or doesnt work anymore, i dont know ive never tried it but ^ sounds right to me
oh to answer your actual question, ranking up a site with redirect wouldnt work with google because they see it redirects to another site itll rank another site (which is why some people use redirects to avoid people stealing their backlinks)
im tired atm i hope i typed it clearly ;>

figured it couldn't be that easy. I'm lazy & don't feel like making a new site for this niche!
as far as sick goes, I create project folders and copy the packets in there. when I'm done with a submit for that packet, I delete them. I wish the URL manager was editable like in senuke. I'd like to be able to put notes in there for where I left off, where I sent the links for indexing etc.

yeah best example i could give is to go here http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:fyZlaP3lce4J:womenscenter.virginia. edu/sdvs/legalrights/vacode/rape.html+site:.edu+viagra&cd=5&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a you'll see contents and shit but if you go to http://womenscenter.virginia.edu/sdvs/legalrights/vacode/rape.html it redirects to another site
god damn i want .edu's
and dude thats a great idea, im gonna suggest that on the forum if you dont mind are you a member there too? if so you should suggest that, i definitely need something like that, would be hella useful

yeah I am (jimijam). I may start coding some packets as I have a crap load of sites from xrumer blasts. I get about 600 a day that I can re-use in sick. would be even more if the punBB & phpBB templates didn't suck so badly. I need to learn to code templates.

you can promote crapdomain.com all day long, once google sees that redirect(302), they assume that crapdomain.com has moved to your redirect url.

there are plenty of scripts that will do what you are looking to do. but instead of redirecting that domain, set up a 301 redirect for say domain.com/keyword1. build up some nice juicy content on the page, and then set it up so that whenever a known google bot come to the page it shows the content, and if not it redirects to the aff link.
