View Full Version : Needs advice about Vid card & new monitor

Ok, so the bf's b-day is in March, which will give me enough time to get him a new monitor (flatscreen plz) and vid card that will then produce a better pic on the big screen.
I have no idea what vid card he has now, but he's been bitching that he wants a new one as well as a flat screen monitor, so any input would be appreciated.

Grab Astra32 from www.astra32.com and install and run it on his PC, it'll tell you all the components. Look for the motherboard and the current graphics card.

K, I'll get @ you tomorrow. I gotta gets to bed, as I have to go to work tomorrow, again.
I dont want to install any progs on his comp, as he gets pissy when I do that.

yeah you dont have to install anything.. just need to goto device manager and check if he has PCI Express... and witht that budget you can get like a nice 22inch and like a 7600gt
