how do i do this? i figured out how to do it for pages but can't get it to show one specific post on frontpage, any help will be appreciated!

See Settings under Reading section set post values according to you..
if still dont work make a page and put contents there under same section u can select static page as a home page of wordpress

yeah i knew that hence why i said i can do pages but for this i need post to show up not the page +rep to both though appreciate it fellas

ahh..i didn't read the question carefully enough I guess...maybe something along the lines of changing the template of whatever the front page is to a "Blog" in the page editor?!!
haha i tried
limit the post amounts in setting to '1'?
