First I Installed Ubuntu 7.10 i386 (had the disc laying around) and got all these terrible random freezups. I then loaded up CentOS 5.1 x86-64 and it's also running kind of homo. No freezups at first but as I've been loading more packages it's been randomly locking up. I had an ATI PCI-X video card in it, just swapped it for a nVidia PCI card I had. Not sure if that had anything to do with the freezups or not but now compiz won't run, Rhythmbox has been gay this whole time, and I've had to add rpmforge in to yum repos to be able to get any damn software and now there's some package issue with subversion so I'm going to give ubuntu 7.10 64bit a spin unless someone has any bright ideas.
