How long would it take an affiliate to realize you gave them a bad SSN# that doesn’t match yours?
What method would an affiliate use to find out if you gave them a fake SSN#?
Can an affiliate find your real information if you give them a tax-id #?
dont fuck with the irs
Speaking from experience?

dont mess with the IRS
get an offshore account
but to answer your question. you will be flagged in about 1.5 years.
The affialiate sends out a 1099 with your name and fake ssn. The irs will respond by looking for your name and address and flag your real SSN as a future audit.
The best thing u can do is use a PO box for your checks to come and change your name around a bit might help u. Like have them pay J. Smith instead of John Smith or J. Smithe the bank will probably still take the deposits. But dont forget u now have a paper trail. Make sure the bank u use has a false address and also has your name wrong. But sadly they do have a copy of your DL and other ID on file per Fed rules.

no, i'm smart enough not to do stupid things when people have my SSN/information
ya just open up an offshore co

I’m not planning on fucking over the IRS. That’s the least of my worries. I have fear in giving some shady affiliate site my real information. Has anyone ever been burned my an affiliate site leaking information? I know in healthcare they have something called HIPAA that protects people’s information.
A lot of people on here recommend getting a tax-id. Which I’m in the process of doing.
why are u dealing with shady places to begin with?
christ, i think literally hundreds of companies have my ss# from the years of random affiliates

How do you know if a place is shady or not? It’s the employees that work there. That’s why I never understood when people put their links in their site with their affiliate ID’s in the link. It would take some socialing but you could pull someone’s info based off an affiliate ID. In a way it’s like giving out your phone number. I think registering a business and using a tax-id is the safest bet, for not getting your information owned.
How much would and how would you go about setting up an offshore corp?
you can spend like $125 and set up an llc and just get an ein for that, blam no real name no ssn

An LLC is a great idea. The first thing I did when I started spamming, was set up an LLC..

My intent of creating this thread was to find out the best method to protect my information. I don’t want to burn any bridges down with afflaites . I appreciate everyones input.
Is there any site out there where I can see what LLC names have been taken already?

LLC won't really help you for anything other then looking legit
tax = its pass through so you're pretty much taxed on your personal shit
law suit protection = someone could easily pierce the corporate vale

the ein is great to give affilates so no one online has your social... and you can also setup DBAs and get different ein's under thoughs too
great way to have 100+ companys =x
I were to want to start an LLC for a solely internet based company what would the advantages be of filing out of state in this case? Any downsides?
uhm, double taxation might suck. but legally, depending what youre trying to get into, could save you problems down the road. contact your accountant.

you can file 2253 to get your llc taxed as an scorp... so it's flowthru taxation but if you take it as a dividend instead of salarying yourself you get to cut out the 15.3% self employment tax
