GetDataBack
Do-it-yourself Data Recovery Software

GetDataBack is more than an undelete or file recovery program or a system restore:
Whatever happened to your drive-

GetDataBack will recover your data if the hard drive's partition table, boot record, FAT/MFT or root directory are lost or damaged, data was lost due to a virus attack, the drive was formatted, fdisk has been run, a power failure has caused a system crash, files were lost due to a software failure, files were accidentally deleted...

Recover even when Windows doesn't recognize the drive-

GetDataBack can even recover your data when the drive is no longer recognized by Windows. It can likewise be used even if all directory information - not just the root directory- is missing.

Get everything back-

Advanced algorithms will make sure that all directories and sub directories are put together as they were, and that long file names are reconstructed correctly.

GetDataBack is safe-

GetDataBack is read-only, meaning the program will never attempt to write to the drive you are about to recover. Please make sure to read the safety instructions...

GetDataBack is easy to use-

The software enables the regular user to conduct his own data recovery by guiding him through three easy to understand steps, thus gives the advanced user the possibility to interfere with the recovery and improve the results, by examining the scan log, the file system details, file and directory information, by selecting the sector range to be scanned, by choosing excessive search for file systems or search for lost files, by calling Runtime's DiskExplorer.

Recover files over your local network or over a serial cable-

This feature enables you to run GetDataBack on one computer ("remote") while accessing the drives of another computer ("host").

Recovering data over a network is useful, especially when you are not able to remove the drive you want to recover from and attach it to another computer.

GetDataBack recovers from

* Hard drives (IDE, SCSI, SATA)
* USB drives
* Firewire drives
* Partitions
* Dynamic Disks
* Floppy drives
* Drive images
* Zip/Jaz drive
* Compact Flash Cards
* Smart Media Cards
* Secure Digital Cards
* USB Flash Drive
* iPod Disks

GetDataBack for NTFS V3.32

Use GetDataBack for NTFS to recover files from drives with NTFS file systems. GetDataBack for NTFS can be installed and runs under Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista.

System Requirements:
Pentium Processor
32 MB RAM
Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista

- Important Installation Note -

Do not install GetDataBack on the drive you want to recover! It is strongly recommended to proceed as follows:

Install the program to another computer, which doesn't have any problems. If you have a choice, choose the computer with the most RAM and is the fastest. Attach the drive you want to recover as a slave to this machine. Make sure the drive is jumpered correctly and is recognized by the BIOS.

After downloading GetDataBack run the setup.exe. The setup Wizard will guide you through the installation process.

Stop using the computer right now, before the data get's over written btw. The more you use that machine the greater the chances the undeletable data will be overwritten.

Undelete programs work for shit anyways, may the force be with you.

I use EnCase ever-day of muh life. $3,000 dongle for EnCase forensic. It's just a bit over-priced. The latest pirated version I know of is EnCase 4.20 with the cracked .dll. EnCase is like a crutch for feds and popo who are required to do grunt work for ages before they can go into the cybercrime divisions. They gotta learn how to deal with crackhead nurgas before they can get in yer puter and look at your secrets, makes a lot of sense.

You have a working crack for anything later than that?

...
GetDataBack for NTFS/FAT is the shizzle for most data recoveries, like everyone else said.

If your client has the slightest thought that they might go to court over this then the hard drive needs to be acquired in a forensically sound manner. So you'd need to write-block it or use a Linux boot CD and DD/DCFLDD or the 1 million other disk imaging tools. You could use like a logicube or some other hardware device.

Basically, if your client recovers the files themselves on the system and thinks they can go to court to prosecute over whatever, then yeah good luck.

I have always had great results also with GetDataBackNTFS.

My host was at one time also able to recover one of our server hard drives that failed using the same software. They got back like 95% of the data.

Highly recommended.

Download and run the latest version of Advanced File Recovery from www.advanced-file-recovery.com/ (http://digitalgangster.com/4um/www.advanced-file-recovery.com/). During the search you can click on the files that it finds and displays in the results screen to preview their contents in the preview area.

They shooting small keyword combos through a spinner? Google didn't seem to produce very many repeated phrases that over 2 or 3 words.
