Best Stats Program?

I've been using Google Analytics for a while, but have experience with AWstats and have also been using StatPress [for wordpress]..

I've noticed my stats in StatPress being really different from Analytics..

What do you guys recommend?

The difference you are seeing is because of the type of traffic you are getting. Google will generally give you the results you want to focus on, IE legit traffic.

Awstats will give you basically everything because it's server side. So if somebody is hotlinking a file, Awstats will let you know, Google won't because it's script won't be called.

Do you have a different suggestion? I really don't feel like setting up and configuring awstats on my dedi tonight.

I'd just go with Adsense for now since it will give you the stats you really want to be paying attention to which is human traffic. Though, they both have their purpose. I just wouldn't bother worrying about Awstats if it's a now or later type of thing. Both have their purpose though.

I was suggested to use Piwik, which I'm installing right now and so far it seems decent, it's realtime, so I have no complaints yet.

I was using Wordpress Stats but I just got a premium theme and that shit must have made my WPStats stop working...

Been using Google Analystics but I like WPStats much more..
