the unlock code has to be assigned to your IMEI number if im not mistaken.. i unlocked a bb8820 a few years back on att and they needed my imei and pin.
fark
there are other ways to get it done tho, i once paid some site i found on google 5$ and it was done in about an hour. good luck!

noticed this shit bumped....
Solution: Call Carrier and ask for unlock code.... no need for any story about going out of country or anything, just ask for the unlock code, and be friendly
yeah there's an algorithm for it
and anyone who's cracked it sells unlock codes
I've never thought to look into it, prob $ to be made
PM me with forum questions or concerns and I will do my best to help

Alot of people do this, and really the software is all around. Many people in my hood BANK BANK BANK when it comes to unlocking carrier specific, and just flashing none the less.
There are a few people that fuck with the esn game but we wont get into that lol
shout out to my nigga clutch i havent heard from you in a minute i hope business with sprint is banging
PRLS are public files anyone can do whatever. With sprint and verzion there is no unlocking its all flashing firmwares.... you can get deep and change the ES to another active phone on that network, and you will have access to sprint via a verizon phone with data included... or you can flash an actual sprint firmware of the phone and try getting a sprint rep to add your esn to the network
yes yes I know it's called flashing, I just call it unlocking. Suave I "Flash" phones on the daily.
Most sprint firmware is easily obtainable and same goes for verizon. I have all firmware for verizon at my office.
