    Default Cakephp?

I gotta build this little website app for a school project, and was planning on just using php in notepad. But i've been reading about cakephp and it seems like it could be pretty useful, i think. Does anyone here use it? Is it worth messing around with?

I like http://codeigniter.com more so than cakephp. documentation is nicer on the CI side, imo. less bloat I've seen in the code.

i dunno i gave codeigniter a try yesterday for a small project, honestly their documention sucks seemed outdated everywhere. its prob great if you started using it 3 years ago and know most of their conventions. I've used ruby on rails and symfony both before and both are light years ahead of codeigniter. codeigniter seems more fit for control freaks who really don't like active record type databases or who want to roll their own doctrine implementation instead of just having shit working.

also tried cakephp and so far it seems way better googlefuing cakephp problems is way less frustrating
