    Default Yahoo inboxing?

Anyone having a problem inboxing to yahoo lately? Just this past week, it appears that they've tightened up their spam filter.

yahoo tightened their filters like 2 months ago bro. Hotmail did something similar last week. You just need to find new methods and carry on.

Yahoo's using their own DNE for domains. Use more domains in your bodies...

I was hitting inbox without a problem last week. This week I'm noticing my conversions and $ took a nose dive and I started shitting bricks. So I tested yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc.. and yahoo is the only one who is shit on me here.

    Obviously I'm doing it wrong.

If you're having trouble inboxing with these new filters, remember that they've upped the FP rate across the board. Users will be doing more digging in the junk folder. Mimic a FP.
Busy traveling. Your inquiry is very important to us. Please hold and it will be answered in the order received.

True, but I can't have it going to spam. What happens when users stop digging? It's just not right.

Just keep sending volume don't worry so much about the spam folder. If it's being delivered it will be read. Just push volume especially if you're webmailing. Yahoo doesn't like seeing the same domain over and over in the email body if you're not using domain keys, spf, dkim etc. So start buying tons of domains .info's and let them sit for atleast 7days min. Redirects are fine but most of them die rather quick if you're mailing volume so all that hard work on delivering is wasted with dead bit.ly type redirects. I see it daily on all my seed email accounts i have submitted into data feeds...

Users will never stop digging, not until it can be guaranteed that no important ham lands in the spam box.

Right, you need better IPs/peas and domains, and a more variable message, among other things. That's best case scenario.

For example, Persistence is right on with what he is saying about variance in aged domains and DKIM. That will boost your inbox rate, but not everybody is equipped to do that.

As long as you find yourself stuck in the junk box, a false false positive is better than something which looks like the rest of the spam they're scrolling through (the best solution is still refinement).

The only thing which matters is getting the creative in front of potential customers. Somebody who is interested by the message is going to follow up on it, which makes the location irrelevant, as well as all the non-customers. Nobody who ever wanted a rock hard monster cock ever said no because of the folder name.

There's also a nice thread on wickedfire about the new yahoo filters. Seems like most people are having trouble.

i just ran a simple test with random subject and random sentence with a www.google.com link in the body on a fresh c block and got 40% inbox with fresh accounts.

I understand what you're getting at, but location is relevant, a lot of people don't check the spam folder.

True, it's better to hit the inbox but with yahoo and hotmail throwing so much legit email into the spam box people will start checking it. Use their name in the subject so people will notice it and open it

Of course its better to hit inbox. It's always better to hit inbox.

However, if you can't, a different subj/body are in order.

As long as many people glance at the junk folder from time to time there is an opportunity in a FFP.

A spammy subject which gets opened in inbox might get passed over in junk.

Part of this is knowing your recipients. For example, if you're scraping CL, something which could conceivably be from a potential buyer is highly likely to be opened from the junk folder. Others are receptive to things masquerading as everything from forwards, to confirmations, to social sharing notifications.

Getting away from the FFP for a moment, other customers have other triggers. With the right recipient, "Viagra Pfizer $0.99 Best Price Online" (which is definitely going to any junk folder on the planet) might get attention where "hey," doesn't. If you already know you're going to junk and there isn't much you can do about it, sometime it doesn't pay to play coy in the hopes you beat the filter.

If you try enough techniques enough times, you'll eventually hit the one which works for each potential customer. We don't know exactly who is who, although sometimes the list sources help us guess.
