Plantronics DSP 500's.. :] if they are still selling em.
death gotta be easy cuz life is hard
sennheisers are good. no doubt about that.
the beyerdynamics are the best tho. super comfortable - you can wear them for hours and your ears wont start to hurt like with a lot of headphones.
The whole idea of headphonereviews.org is that experienced users share their experience with others, to help you choose the right headphones for you. Nevertheless we get a lot of emails asking what headphones people should buy, so we've put together a few recommendations for you.

Logitech G35's
I've been through maybe 12 headphones in under 5 years and these things are hands down the best headset ever made. They have the same version wireless and i wish i got them. I've had my g35's for the past year and a half, 0 problems what so ever. The cord is near impossible to break and it's long as fuck. It's also comfortable as fuck.
Wireless = g930 and they have some hardware upgrades from the g35's. Minus the battery life being not the best, the g930's are better then the g35s.
If you're gonna get a headset now a days, stay away from anything with "Round cup" ears. Aim for square, that's what your ears are and if you're gonna be wearing a headset for more then 3-4 hours you're gonna want comfort. I have mine on nearly 6-7 hours a day and i practically forget i have them on. I also can't hear shit with them on even with 0 sound playing. Like i said, the g35's are so beast.
PS: The most important arsenal to your battlestation is your headset, mouse, & keyboard. Dont skimp out on those. I can suggest plenty of shit if you want. Stay away from razer audio, and try sticking to logitech audio as they have been reliable (i have a logitech z5500 5.1 that's going on 9 years old and still in perfect condition)
Hi reefer,
I always choose sony products if I have to buy anything related with electrics.
I have Sony MDR IF240RK and I will also recommend you to buy this.
Rest choice is yours.
^ This. I also have a few pairs of these for backup in the event that the ones I currently use from time-to-time break or something goes terribly wrong. This G35 headset is simply amazing and supports DD 7.1 SS.
The downside to the G35 is that Stereo Mix doesn't work with them which is unfortunate. Even if you use your PC sound card hardware for "listen in on ..." or w/e and choose the G35 headset, it still won't output it. Rumors have it that other headsets work using what I just described though so maybe look around if you are interested in using a Stereo Mix environment.
I say the Sennheiser pc350's are definitely what you want, the sound quality shits on the g35's in every single aspect, the mic is decent enough, and ever since the pc360's came out, they dropped the price of the 350's from $250 to only $150. I fucking love this things, have had them for 2 years now and they haven't broke at all.
p.s. these are comfortable as shit, and any nigger with his square ear nigger bullshit must have freakish godzilla ears if they don't fit in these.

Not all Sennheiser cans are that good.
But HD595's own the PC360's and Logi G35's in sounds quality, trust me I've tried out tested about 10 different sets of cans. Just google search HD595, nothing but amazing reviews.
I'm probably the biggest audiophile here. I'd go with the Sennheiser HD595's, AMAZING DEAL, if you get serious you can pickup an amp for them later, but it's not needed right away...

I'm using X-Fi Platnium to a HifiMAN EF2 headphone tube amp to a set of Sennheiser HD595's > all other headphone setups posted here :P
Amazing directional sound and superb sound quality with amazing comfort from extremely comfortable velour ear pads, feels like nothing is on your head, Feels Good Man...

lol, ya that's my blazer... you can tell I'm all about audio huh :P
The Lexus GS is my main ride now though.
I've built a few systems in the blaze...
anyone who posted their recommendations, do they completely surround your ear?
I currently have decent headphones that go on top of the ear but they irritate the fuck out of my ear and make these little "bumps" in them that just hurt like hell and take a week to heal.
HD595's also completely surround the ear and apply no pressure on the ear, they feel very light on your head and don't get too hot since they are an open-ear design.
Most closed ear headphones get hot, but closed ear design helps with better bass response.
HD555 = HD595
Difference is foam inserted to give shit quality sound

Save yourself the money and do it yourself
I was going to recommend the 595s, but Shiznilti beat me to it. I can not say enough good things about them especially for the price.
- Countless top quality, maximum ROI offers
- 24/7 Support
i sport shure srh440's and they are the best pair of headphones i've had in a long time, and they wont break the bankhighly recommend
money does unlock vast amounts of knowledge you're obviously too poor to have acquired.
LOL @ Logitech for SQ in headphones.
I have a pair of Grado SR-80's and Audio Technica M50's, kinda complete polar opposites but I like em both for different things. They both cost about $100, and are really good 'starter' cans to teach you the differences between closed/open and for you to really learn WHAT kind of sound you like. TBQH I don't know what I like better. I think the SR-80's are better overall for SQ but the M50's just have SO much more low freq response. Plus when I am up late listening to music and the gf is sleeping the M50's are nice cuz she isn't bothered by the music where as with the SR-80's other people can hear them just about as loudly as you. The SR-80's seem much more natural though, being open and smooth, where as the M50's seem to shove the music down your ears. Don't spend too much time deciding just get something, and don't go with something ultra expensive right out of the gate, test the waters with something in the ~$100-150 range to see if that's the path you really want to go down, then upgrade to a nicer model. You WILL need a dedicated headphone amp for any of the nicer headphones though. Even the SR-80's and especially the M50's come alive with an amp, but can still be used standalone with portable devices, which is nice.
THEN you can pick a nicer set, but honestly either of these sets are pretty damn good. Make sure you are plugging into a half decent source though. Compressed music is OK, it adds DIFFERENT artifacts than shitty DAC's or shitty opamps/buffer stages.
