i'd say it's from evolution. back in the day, at least in the early 90s, cannabis was not as potent or evolved. now thanks to genetics, there are hundreds of strains that were bred early and around the s.f. bay area / emerald triangle that turned into such beautiful pieces of work / art (thanks to science/art)

not only that, people now take it to the next level [strains, hash, oils, porta-vapes, drinks, food, etc]. it wasn't like this about 10-15 years ago

now it's slowly getting around, and people are now just getting their hands on this kind of stuff. i don't support the use of recreational marijuana usage. i believe it does have wonderful healing powers for those who are in need. staying basic and natural is what it is all about, too much processing and chemicals being used to create such oils and such, i don't mess with that stuff. especially when random kids are making oils and selling them to the clubs and people in the area. (this is where the money involved can create problems with the law and safety, when clubs/ dispensaries aren't testing the products they buy)

they shut that television series on the Discovery channel down. they actually test the quality of products (to ensure safety and safe-use) before putting them out in their dispensaries.

Weed makes me more lazy than I already am, and I eat too much, so I don't do it. I'm not gonna knock anyone who smokes regularly, because it does make you laugh at everything and you have fun on it... but it makes depressing situations even much worse, and makes you put off your problems until later but then all the problems smack you in the face at once.

It's fine every now and then like every 6-8 months it's fine, it's not gonna affect your thinking longterm.

that's true, it becomes a viscous cycle of going up and down (+1/-1)

using a plant to obtain the zero state of mind, which can be naturally tapped into

but I do believe the Lord, or whoever it may be programmed/created such plant for us humans because in these times, it's hard to meditate or obtain/reach such levels of the mind with so many [distractions, thoughts, (+/- energy) etc] (only we can activate such properties).

idk, it goes with anything in life. can't let certain things get in the way of what you have to do, if something like weed is preventing you from doing such, i would recommend trying to switch things up.

gotta know how to use the system properly, it's like a program i use in my mind to think deeply/analyze certain things/situations with depth. (which can be a waste of time or actually beneficial)

too many individual variables involved to understand one's own individual creative mind/thinking/feelings/thought process/etc etc

treal p, the industrial age altered our sleep patterns. we're not supposed to stay awake for 16 hours at a time, contrary to popular belief of the 8 hour sleep cycle.

so weed back then obviously was not a big deal. but in our time, we've got so many products with caffeine and other energy supplements just to stay awake and keep on keepin on that doing weed in this day and age probably means your awake pattern is being altered with visual hallucinations more than the plant is actually supposed to do.

i remember when I was young I smoked some mids and it didn't have a profound effect on me, but made me laugh and I wasn't paranoid at all. those higher strains really fucked with me by inducing paranoia on a heightened scale, i had to smoke more to calm myself down. but i don't blame the weed, I blame myself because I was going to school full time and working on the computer at night, going back to school the next day without any sleep completely high. so that might be the reason for my bad trips of insomnia+weed.
