okay, sorry guys. i fixed it though, for real this time.

it turns out when i multithreaded it i forgot to move one of variable assignments inside the loop.

so it would have only sent one legit request per thread and then fuck up. the reason mine worked was because i was looking at the stats from the testing of the bot while still singlethreaded.

i'm nearly certain this version works, but i won't know for at least 24 hours. if you're not seeing views come in then lower the thread count, especially for longer videos. hell run with 1 thread if you have to (but multithreading does work)

like i said earlier, i cut a corner so i am using a slightly different method than what spk recommends BUT he said it should work fine and unless they beefed up security checks since two days ago this will work.

also thx pad for talking it out so i finally saw what the hell went wrong.

UPDATE:

the bot is working wonderfully, i started running it early this morning and thousands of views are pouring in already. the SEO functionality also seems to be working as the video is already ranking significantly higher than it was last night.

because youtube is making $$$$ off of big huge companies that are buying views using this method to boost their products and services... The guy "Spk" on BHW who legitimately & eventually leaked the method so that youtube "can patch the method" so after a couple weeks when he first leaked it, youtube banned the method (views were still able to work, but the SEO was disabled <- huge factor), but as you see couple days ago, youtube actually re-opened the hole + added some great things ex:referrer tag etc....

SpK had previously worked for youtube IMO. He has also said that, a while ago a popular branded company had contacted him to buy his views service but he couldn't disclose their name for law reasons..

ayo, update time.

i don't have tons of time for this stuff these days. so yeah, it would help a ton if you guys could fire up fiddler or your packet analyzer of choice while running the bot and update this thread like "yo nigga, this is what i think is happening, can you fix it?"

but i'm pretty sure i know whats wrong. the shortcut i took involves the plid. rather than generating them on the fly i was just using regex to scrape the non-mobile page and sending that, which does work. the reason only a fraction of the views show is because i suck at regex so only a fraction of the plids being sent are valid.

when i get home i guess i'll fix the code so that it generates valid plids on the fly.

remember stats can take 24-72 hours to update which makes this a bitch to test so your guys help is pretty necessary if you want a fully functional version.

Mobile views do not really mean much, but that changed today (03.06.2012). By adding “et” (end time) and “st” (start time) mobile views now shows audience retention to the video statistics server, meaning it now adds SEO-juice. You heard it here first They used to not send rt, et and st, but they added it last night, meaning they want to use mobile views in their SEO algorithm (and this is the reason some sites such as SquidRootBeer do not offer mobile views since last night)

Doesn't automatically mean its being used in their ranking algorithm.
