Seen this pop up on Facebook the last few days. I have a website kinda like this but as you can see the unique thing about this is the ad placement with no apparent way to exit the ad

Is this a good way to get TOS'd or is it just a way to have everyone leave your website in disgust because of lack of usability? That isn't even a TOS violation, is it?

I might have to try this out for a while.

Why not just build ads as a child of CSS elements(Through JS or PHP handling). This would prevent the ad from expanding beyond the layout entirely, and could scale with resolution. The side effect is happy viewership and usability. I could be wrong about the effectiveness of the strategy listed, as marketing is not my strong suit.
