What I don't understand is the reason the black community is making such a big stink of this. The white kids hung some nooses from a tree, and they were punished for their actions. The black kids BEAT a white kid, and put him in the hospital. This is what we call a hate crime, and these black kids should be punished deeply for their actions. I don't understand AT ALL why the blacks don't agree. If this were the other way around, and 6 white kids BEAT a black kid to this condition I would recommend the white kids get a harsh punishment as well.

So, if you think the black community has a good reason to be down there protesting PLEASE convince me why?

a) No, it is not attempted murder JUST because 6 kids were stomping on 1. Attempted murder has to do with weapons. The DA said their shoes were the weapons. Plus, if 6 people I knew were stomping on someone trying to kill them, it wouldn't be that hard to get it done.

b) If there is actually a freedom of expression, then why couldn't the black kids "express" themselves by stomping the dome of some racist cracker. If you're talking about freedom of speech, then you're incorrect in saying that its 100% protected. It's not. You can't yell fire in a movie theater, you can't incite riots. Hanging the noose was an instigating act and I sure as fuck would want to stomp some crackers out if I were a negro and they threatened me like that (yes thats a threat.)

The stomping occurred after a group of whiteys and a group of negros confronted each other. I'm sure everyone here has been to high school or a club or whatever and seen the same exact thing between 2 people.

The contention isn't that these kids are being punished for beating the kid up. The contention is that they're being sentenced to 40+ years for a high school fight. It is a throwback to the days when black people had to live under different circumstances than whites (Jim Crow laws, separate but equal). Black people would be punished with irrational sentences for silly crimes while white people would literally get acquitted of murder because they could pick all-white juries.

Finally, another Native American! I'm glad I'm not alone. The only reason white people used blacks as the slave majority is because all the Native Americans died under the work load and spread of disease. At least Black people got the opportunity to buy land once they were freed, there are still some Native Americans who arent allowed to leave the reservations.
