I told you, I'm hoping for $6/gallon minimum.

It's the only way to free up the freeways in Los Angeles...

tell me this awol, will you still drive to the office or just work from home? And if you work from home, why do you care if the freeways are open?

ryph, what did you use to create karma and heaven sites? and what kind of traffic did you see before the incentives deal you put up for people?

If you can PM me about it I would appreciate it. >:]

hey i was laying in bed this morning and was thinking about this thread and have to ask you this.

what is going to happen if this really happens? the minimum wage in the US is $5.15 i think? wow what is going to happen when you have to work an hour+ just to pay for ONE gallon of gas? the lower class will have to basically put a whole days worth of work into their gas tank just to get to work and other places. say goodbye to savings.

the division inbetween the upper and lower class grows. this is a fatal flaw with capitalism. it creates a vast division inbetween the classes.

fucking nuts man. thinking about that just blows my mind and makes me so sad...

Yeah, take away people's money and make them slaves and see what happens, crime'll go up, and, if they were smart, they'd rally up and start fire bombing.

yes, this ties into my social/political aspect of whats coming in 2010.

"There over 800 prison camps in the United States, all fully operational and ready to receive prisoners. They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards, but they are all empty. These camps are to be operated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should Martial Law need to be implemented in the United States"

This is a very bad idea. If something like this were to happen, the government would be over thrown within days, and the people would take over any try by the government to restrain them. They police don't stand a chance... Especially if everyone has very little to live for.

also, americans might stop being ass backwards and start buying cars that get more than 15 MPG. Look at India. Motorcycles are huge. Transportation will receive an overhaul here soon.

It is called real estate. When these fuckers divorce, most of the time they liquidate assets (when they have some). When they sell their house in todays market they are definitely not getting market value do to the urgency of the sale. Not to mention the wife probably doesnt give a shit if the husband gets the best price on the house he bought her.

a few nice quotes from a book i am reading this morning

The people under a tyranny know they are enslaved and sometimes they revolt. The people of America are in bondage and don't know it. That is why there are no revolutions in America.

Modern capitalism is wise. It knows that it prospers best under "democratic" institutions, with the people electing their own representatives to the lawmaking bodies, and indirectly casting a vote even for the president. The capitalist masters do not care how or for whom you vote, whether it be the Republican or the Democratic ticket. What difference is it to them? Whoever you elect, he will legislate in favor of "law and order," to protect things as they are. The main concern of the powers that be is that the people should continue to believe in and uphold the existing system. That is why they spend millions for the schools, colleges, and the universities which "educate" you to believe in capitalism and government.

Gas isn't the only thing outrageous. Has anyone paid attention to the price of wheat has gone up x3, milk, eggs has doubled, the cost of living has increased so much, yes the wages have barley budged in the last 10 years.

    sadness itt.

    1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liters
    1L = CAD$1.20

    3.78541178*1.2= CAD$4.54 a Gallon
