I usually fall down a lot. But get whoever you're going with to wear overalls then make them undo the straps, hold onto straps and make them pull you around the rink

People get crazy out on the ice. They zoom past you almost knocking you down. I think it's perfectly acceptable to facepalm peeps. Also if you start to fall grab the nearest person and take them down with you. That way you both look retarded and you can always blame it on them

i would suggest wearing gloves. A friend of mine fell skating one time and someone skated over her fingertip. she lost a centimeter of it and now her hand looks all awkward and mangled.

but yeah, ice skating is a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Its not too difficult either. I bet you'll love it <3

I used to play ice hockey, ice skating is awesome. Get hockey skates when you rent them, more ankle support than those faggot ass figure skates.

gloves are a good idea for the ice, ice can be unforgiving at times when you land it with your hands, sort of like falling on concrete, after awhile it starts to tear them up. a skirt, well, i wouldn't recommend it cause you will prolly fall and ya don't want bruised knees. wear a nice thick sweater that'll cover your ass so you have cushion on your ass. some ice skating places have the 'plastic' boots for those who have never skated, while hockey skates are good, they're mean't for flexability for turns so i don't recommend that to a noob.

yea a skirt/dress is not a good idea unless you want to flash everyone. It's almost guaranteed that you're gonna fall. If you don't have any jeans (which wtf why do you not have jeans woman!) then at least wear shorts. Maybe some cute tights/stockings. I have these funky green and black striped ones I like to wear when I got skating.

well thanks for the advice

i am really glad i didnt wear a dress lol, the shorts worked well though..becuase it wasnt too cold..

and well yeah i embarassed myself a little i feel like twice! haw haw but its cool because some random lads helped me out, and gave me some pointers (they were a couple of the ones that are sickeningly good etc)..but yeah im glad i went you lot were right
it hella fun! and by the end i was skating around like a pro didnt take me too long to get the hang of it i think my aim will be to try skating backwards next time! haw haw or at least do some spins! LOL
