The graphics card itself will remain seperate from the mobo, its just being intergrated via swoftware to jack up its over all performance and power. AMDs Phenom is a quadcore CPU and Raedon will be putting out doulcore GPUs. So you'll basicly have 6 processors working as one with the Dragon plateform. Similar to SLI and Crossfire taking two cards and makes them act as one.

theyre extremely unstable from what ive deduced from my interaction with them when it comes to overclocking.

I will agree that AMD has been dropping the ball as of late. But one of the main points of the Dragon plateform is its cost.

when i had my pc outside i was clockin almost 3.0 from an AMD Athlon x64 3400(2.2ghz)

so tell me that calculates to anywhere near 2%.

looks damn near closer to 40% clock increase.


but my pc was also running below freezing too.

Who needs heatsinks and fans when you have sub-zero tempatures.

heatsinks/fans keep air constantly flowing on the cpu. which in turn keeps the processor cool.

take the heatsink/fan off your psu in your house and see how long your pc runs prime95...then reattach and run.


inside or out, fans are a must.

haha no not stable. the voltage was too high and i kept getting teh BSOD. dig around on here somewhere youll find the highest stable clock.

when i see an overclocked box doing a 30-40fps increase in a game, i will then believe in overclocking

is that a quad core or what cause if it is its shit cause intel moved on to core i7 that has eight cores 7 cores for computing a one to control the other 7 plus a minimum clock speed of 2.67ghz but under load when only a few cores are working it overclocks them to 2.93ghz to keep the speed up there is no competition of amd and intel

Pricing, its all about the price tag. Intel will charge you and arm and a leg for the CPU where AMD will cost 50% less for theirs. But if you got the money to spend on Intel then by all means go ahead.
