zain thats awesome
I wish more people requested PS help so there could be more of these Zain replies
zain, you are way cool man.
It is what it is...Until it isn't.Good judgment comes from experience. Sometimes experience comes from bad judgment.
Zain, I have been meaning to talk to you about your image for a while now and I finally have time to express a few thoughts.
Firstly, the image that you have manipulated.. is definitely quite impressive in its comparison to the original. I am not quite sure what your original idea was (..when you started this project) or whether you had a theme in mind at all or not..
but in my reading of your work, I could definitely sense the influence of India or the representation of your parent's influence in your life -
that I seem to witness through the colour scheme.
These colours remind me of the Indian Flag... (I remember you telling me that your parents are from India.)
Interestingly, that could not be the case. That's merely an anachronistic interpretation of mine. But i could definitely see how it could be valid in reference to your culture. (Unless you have been living in the States for most of your life.. even so, your parent's culture is bound to condition your development.)
Moreover, the figure has definitely steered into a depiction of something demonic or rather hellenistic. I'm not sure.. whether you have studied classical Greek sculptures but the underlying expression of violence and discomfort or suffering -
that I extract from the image-- especially the eyes--allude to the hellenistic period.
I love it!
This image appears to depict a figure that I would probably acquaint myself with.. in a video game. I think that part impresses me the most. And also, sets you apart as a male artist -if you compare it to the image that i have created. You will notice that my image transforms the young boy to an image of a lustrous woman-- as i like to think-- hehe and is definitely more abstracted.
That adds feminine qualities to the image -which can be seen through the emphasis of the eyes, the tenderness of the lips and most importantly the colour scheme that I have chosen- which has red and pink under tones.
Therefore, the hand of the artist is evident to such an extent that I had to read into the image beyond its original context.
Interestingly you retain the innocence of the young boy through the tenderness of the lips. If you notice there is nothing demonic about that part of the face.
Good shit! Zain Good Shit!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah i just wrote that, why?
.. Game design? i could definitely see that. Like I mentioned-
this image is something..i would associate with a video game. ( I guess I was on point, hehe)
Let's say for example the cover design for the game. That would be awesome.
it's just brilliance.
